The road getting home was some of the worst I have ever seen for actual travel. Since we don't own a hummer, we had to travel at speeds of around 35-40 for a loooooooooong stretch of road through Nebraska and Kansas. My strong husband kept us on the road with grace and patience... along with many answered prayers for safe travel.
So, here is a late Holiday greeting to all of you who stop in every now and then.

No, you shouldn't have mentioned we were leaving. You don't tell the world that your home will be empty for over a week.
this is one grateful mom, mil, grandma that you are home safely....i don't really relish worrying about any of my "chicks"
