Out of commision for awhile

Straight to the point.

I really need your prayers. I have two herniated discs in my neck. They are causing intense pain in my right arm, shoulder, and hand. I'm taking 4 different medications, plus a cortisone shot every now and then to keep me functioning. I had the second cortisone shot yesterday, which is the only reason I can type today.

My girls have been helpful during the day. Friends have been offering help to watch the girls and bring meals. I am going to need help. If you know me well, you know that I don't like asking for help. I know that I can't do this without all of you, though, so I might be taking up some offers soon.

Dear friends, please pray for all of us as we go through this. I belive that it is God's will for me to have a healthy body and mind as Marty and I raise our daughters to be Godly women. This has happened to me because I haven't been taking care of myself as I should. God will renew my body and mind so that it doesn't happen again. I believe that.

In the meantime, I will not be blogging much. It really hurts my hands to use my fine motor skills.

As I go through this I am dwelling on some scriptures to boost my faith.

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him,
that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
